Jane Hutcherson Bruce

Funeral services for Jane Hutcherson Bruce, 94, will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday September 12, 2013 at Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Lonnie Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery. Mrs. Bruce left this world to live in her eternal home Monday September 9, 2013 at Maplewood Healthcare. She was born August 19, 1919 in Jackson, TN. She was a long time member of West Jackson Baptist Church where she was active in the Women’s Missionary Union, the Goldenagers and taught Sunday School. Jane was a retired bookkeeper for the County Court Clerk’s office and Hubert M. Owen Construction Co.
She is survived by a son, Jimmy Utley of Jackson, TN; a daughter, Kitty Carmody and husband Bill of Las Vegas, NV; a brother, Shelby Hutcherson of Jackson, TN.; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, E.O. “Slim” Bruce and a son, William Arthur Bruce.
Memorials may be directed to West Jackson Baptist Church Building Fund.
The family will receive friends Wednesday September 11, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
