James F. Skelton

James F. Skelton, Age 88, died on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the West Tennessee Veterans Home in Humboldt, TN.
James was born in Waynesboro, TN on October 21, 1925, the son of the late Everett and Ida Blankenship Skelton. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving as a Seaman First Class during WWII. He was married to Laura M. Skelton who preceded him in death in 2005. He was employed with Tennessee Farmers Co-op for thirty seven years and later Jackson Christian School for twenty years. He was a long-time member of North Jackson Church of Christ.
He is survived by his son, Keith Skelton (Wendy) of Jackson, TN and a sister, Shirley Grover of Paducah, KY and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Skelton.
SERVICE: A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 28, 2014 at North Jackson Church of Christ with David Powell, Minister officiating. The family will be receiving friends following the memorial service. A committal service with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the O’Guin Cemetery in Kimmins, TN near Hohenwald, TN.
