Jacob "Eli" Keel

April 2, 2004 — August 3, 2024

Yuma, TN

Jacob “Eli” Keel, age 20, left this world on Sunday, August 4, 2024. Born on Friday, April 2, 2004, in Jackson, TN, he was the son of Jayson and Jennie Keel.

As a Lexington High School alumni from the class of 2022, Eli's presence was felt not only in his classes but also on the field. He played both football and soccer where he poured his heart into the game and made many friends. His above average personality always made up for his lack of love for academics!

He was currently a sophomore at the University of Tennessee Martin majoring in Agricultural Engineering Technology, preparing to become a land surveyor. His involvement as a brother in the Kappa Alpha Order Delta Upsilon Chapter showed his commitment to brotherhood and camaraderie.

Eli was more than just a student and an athlete; he was a soul who radiated kindness and sincerity. He had an infectious spirit that lit up every room he entered. His love for being active led him to enjoy hunting, fishing, snowboarding, and various sports – but only if he was winning (IYKYK!). He enjoyed all genres of music and loved live performances.

Eli was an annoying but loving brother to Josie Keel. He was the grandson of Doug and Kimba Keel, nephew to Tony and Leighann Britton, and cousin to Cole and Cassie. Eli will be greatly missed by an immense tribe of friends and extended family.

SERVICES: The Funeral Service for Eli will be held Friday, August 9th, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Arrington Funeral Directors with Timm Johnson officiating. Visitation to honor Eli's memory with his family and friends will be on Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 12:00 until the service time. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery.

Pallbearers to serve: Clayton Adkins, Cole Britton, Harrison Favara, Samuel Favara, Logan Lewis, and Jaxon Wheeler. Honorary pallbearers to serve: Luke Blackwell and Trey Warner.

Eli was a genuine, hardworking, kind-hearted son, brother and friend. He was fiercely committed and loyal to those he loved. Eli Keel's departure has undoubtedly left a void in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy can be honored by remembering the things you loved about him and doing them in your own lives.
