Jack Reed Williams, Jr.

April 10, 1956 — November 7, 2024

Jackson, TN

Jack Reed Williams, Jr., a beloved member of his family and community, was born on April 10, 1956, in Haverhill, Massachusetts. He passed away suddenly on the morning of November 7, 2024, at his home in Jackson, Tennessee. He leaves behind a rich legacy of love and dedication that will be cherished by his family and friends.

Jack enjoyed a successful, lifelong career as a Construction Project Manager for Kinder Morgan, a prominent energy infrastructure company in North America, from which he eventually retired. His academic accomplishments included an associate's degree from Moorehead, MS Junior College, along with qualifications in Construction Engineering. His professional expertise was matched only by his eagerness to offer loving advice and always lend a helping hand, qualities that endearingly earned him the nickname Mr. Fixit. Whether it involved repairing, creating something or simply providing guidance, Jack tackled every challenge with determination and care. He left no job undone.

Beyond his career, Jack was a man of many interests, including a passion for the History Channel, where he reveled in learning new things and sharing fascinating stories. Jack's penchant for storytelling was rivaled only by his pride in maintaining the pristine appearance of his lawn — a testament to his attention to detail and personal commitment to excellence.

Jack's greatest pride lay in his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jan Crockett Williams, as well as his sons, Reed Williams and his wife Erin, and Wes Williams and his wife Jess. His beloved daughter, Lauren Robinson, and her husband Joseph, also carry forward his legacy. Jack held a special place in his heart for his grandchildren: Riley Kate Williams, Joseph River Robinson, and Frank Williams Robinson, who brought him immense joy and fulfillment.

Jack is also survived by his brother, Jay Brian Williams, and his wife Shannon, and his brother-in-law, Chris Crockett, and his wife Sara. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack R. Williams, Sr. and June Lopez Williams, both of whom played a crucial role in shaping the values and principles Jack carried throughout his life. Jack also leaves behind extended family in Massachusetts.

A private family service will be held at a later time.

As family and friends reflect on Jack's life, they will remember him not just for his accomplishments but for the unwavering generosity and kindness he extended to others, his helpful spirit, and the warmth that accompanied his ever-present smile. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly and who will strive to emulate the qualities that made him truly unique.
