Hazel Lewis

October 19, 1924 — July 28, 2015

Mrs. Hazel Lewis, age 90, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015. She was born October 19, 1924 in Gibson County the daughter of the late L Z Bailey and Lillie Mae Bailey. She was retired from Zenith Radio and TV Corporation in Chicago, IL and ITT Nesbitt of Jackson. Mrs. Lewis was a faithful member of Campbell Street Church of Christ.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Elton Lewis; a son, James Michael Lewis; a grandson, Kenny Neely; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Malugen of Huntingdon, TN and Louise Pierce of Dyersburg, TN; two brothers, L V Bailey and John L Bailey of Dyersburg, TN.
She is survived by her children Mrs. Mary Ann Phillips (Tom) of Jackson, Mrs. Betty Bock of Galena, IL and Jerry W. Lewis of Mountain View, AR. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Frances Acor of Huntingdon; two brothers, James Bailey of Dyersburg and Bill Bailey of Bruceton; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a special niece, Mrs. Nancy Williams
SERVICES: Funeral services for Mrs. Lewis will be held 2:00 PM Friday, July 31, 2015 at Highland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with David Powell officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until time of service at Highland Memorial Gardens.
