In your boundless compassion, console us who mourn. Give us faith to see in death the gate of eternal life, so that in quiet confidence we may continue our course on earth, until, by your call, we are reunited with those who have gone before; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Haley Elizabeth Edwards, age 35, of Grand Junction, TN passed away July 12, 2022.
Haley was born on February 27, 1987 to Jeff Thomas Edwards and Ronda Hopkins Richards in Jackson, TN. She joined the Navy after attending UT Chattanooga and Bethel College for a few years. Haley was an extremely gifted and talented girl. She had great artistic abilities and excelled in cheerleading and gymnastics.
She will be dearly missed by her loving parents, Jeff Edwards (Nick Creson) and Ronda Richards (David); brother, Jacob Edwards; niece, Ruby Edwards; nephew, Jack Edwards; grandmothers, Ann Hopkins and Jewel V. Edwards; uncle, Billy Hopkins (Rachel) and their children, Sam and Jude Hopkins; aunt, Kathy Stevens (Todd); and cousins, Justin Stevens (Kelsey) and Bradley Stevens (Joslyn) and their children.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Bill Hopkins and John Edwards.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 6:00PM in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. Visitation will take place 4:30PM-6:00PM prior to the service.
A Poem for Haley: “Feeling such loss, Desperately searching through the pain, Void of the energy to try once more, Imagining there could have been another, Finding all that was done, Seeming as if it was nothing, Knowing so much trouble in life, Surprised the grief of death surpasses. I will look for the light of peace. Because I know there was love between us.”
