Grady Lorenzo Flack, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, departed this life on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at his residence in Jackson, Tennessee, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 81.

 He was born on December 23, 1942, in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Grady L. Flack, Sr. and Mary Leona Adkerson Flack. Grady was a proud graduate of Haywood High School, where he not only excelled academically but also showcased his outstanding athleticism as a member of the State Championship football team.

He later earned his bachelor’s degree from the former Memphis State College, now known as the University of Memphis. He went on to receive his Pharmacy degree from Penn State University, setting the foundation for a rewarding career in Pharmaceutical Sales with Novartis, where he notably received the President's Award for five consecutive years.

His commitment to service extended beyond his professional life. Grady proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. His military service further instilled in him the values of leadership and dedication that would resonate throughout his life.

A devoted member of Englewood Baptist Church, Grady contributed to his community through his roles as a deacon, choir member, and Sunday school teacher in the children's department for over thirty years. His passion for children and education was also evident in his involvement as a board member in the establishment of Trinity Christian School.

Grady is survived by his wife, Donna Wharton Flack, and their three sons: Timothy Flack and wife Bridgette of Memphis, TN; Steven Flack and wife Vadessa of Jackson, TN; and Rev. Mark Flack and wife Kathy of Coahoma, TX. He was a proud grandfather to Lauren Ashley Muoh and husband Obinna, Parker Flack, Madeline Flack, Eli Flack, Susanna Flack, Dacee Flack, and Ryen Flack, and cherished great-grandfather to Leo Muoh. 

He is also survived by his sister, Beth Blatt and husband Morris of Brownsville, TN, and brother-in-law, Allen Wharton of Virginia Beach, VA.

SERVICES: A funeral service to honor Grady's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Rev. Larry Murphy officiating. The burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery with military honors.

The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, August 24, 2024, beginning at 11:00 a.m. and continuing until 1:00 p.m. at Arrington Funeral Directors.
