Geraldine Sidwell

Services for Jeri Sidwell, 72, will be held at 11: 00 AM Wednesday, April 28, 2010 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Bruce Pigue officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Jeri was the daughter of the late Edwin and Evelyn Moorman. Jeri died peacefully at home on April 25, 2010 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.She was born in Memphis, TN, on October 30, 1937. She married Ben Sidwell on July 18, 1968 and lived as a devoted navy wife. She was a wonderful wife and mother. She loved sports and enjoyed watching her sons play ball, as well as her husband coaching football and baseball. Jeri worked as a legal secretary for many years for Whit Lafon and Jimmy Butler.She is survived by her husband, Ben Sidwell of Jackson; four sons, Bill Sidwell and wife Cindy of Jackson, Jim Sidwell of Clarksville, Eddie Sidwell and wife Amy of Jackson and Barry Sidwell of Jackson; her brother, Bill Moorman of Indianapolis, IN; seven grandchildren, Will Sidwell, Jr. and his wife Amanda, Zack Sidwell, Belle Sidwell, Justin Sidwell, Benjamin Sidwell, Jacy Sidwell and Jacks Sidwell and two great grandchildren, Logan Sidwell and Seraphina Sidwell. Pallbearers to serve will be Keith Wooley, Ricky Catlett, Matt Joslin, Brian Henry, Jason Kolakowski and Tommy Carter.The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
