Georgia "Monk" Louise Taylor


Georgia Louise Taylor, 84, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Tennova Regional Hospital.

She was born on June 9, 1932 to the parents of George L. and Louise (Kizer) Parker of Lexington, TN. She was a homemaker and loved community service and served with Hope Center and Jonah Center of Lexington for many years. Mrs. Taylor was Baptist in faith and was a member of Pilgrams Rest Baptist Church in Lexington, TN.

She is survived by four sons; Coleman Taylor and wife Sara of Rockwall, TX; Robert Taylor Jr. and wife Sharon of Union City, TN; Lloyd Taylor and wife Renee of Orlando, FL; Al Taylor and wife Rolayne of Ft. Wayne, IN; two daughters; Brenda King and husband Jerry of Union City, TN; and Margaret Cole of Jackson, TN; one sister; Annie Lee Neely of Clarksburg, TN; one sister-in-law; Norma Jean Parker; Twenty-four grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Taylor, twin daughters Priscilla and Pencietta, and her parents.

Services: A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Pilgrams Rest Baptist Church 33 N. Lewis Street in Lexington, TN with Bro.Jerry King officiating and burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery.

The famly will be receiving friends on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Pilgrams Rest Baptist Church.
