G. W. “Mac” McNutt
G. W. “Mac” McNutt, 86 died on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at his residence.
A native of Pontotoc, MS, Mac was born on June 13, 1927, the son of the late Herman and Viola Stepp McNutt. He was a devoted husband to his wife Christen Wilson McNutt who preceded him in death on January 2, 2012. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Highland Park Church. He was employed for several years with Dobbs Ford of Memphis and later self-employed as an auto mechanic. He was a car enthusiast serving as the president of the Mustang Club in the Jackson, TN area for several years. He also was a master woodworker.
He is survived by his daughter, Betty Carol Jarrett of Amery, MS; two grandchildren, Tisha Petty Julian (Dustin) of Medina, TN and Ronald Petty (Angie) of Henderson and three great grandchildren, Savannah Beaton, Bryce Petty and Cade Petty.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 22, 2014 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Rev. Paul Riddle officiating. Burial will follow with military honors in Ridgecrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
