Fred O’Neil DeLoach, 81, son of the late Fred O’Neil DeLoach and Josephine Long DeLoach died Friday, November 2, 2012. Neil was born in Jackson and attended city schools graduating from Jackson High School.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a fifty year member of the Jackson Masonic Lodge # 45. Neil was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for sixty three years serving as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and choir member. He worked thirty-six years for the Bell telephone systems. He was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers.
He is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Ann Eaves DeLoach; four cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a baby sister and three special aunts and two uncles.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Grant Gaines officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
Pallbearers to serve will be Steve Wyatt, Steve Webb, Mike Rowland, Jerry Williams, Curry Johnson and Will Deming.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Agoga Sunday school class members and Royce Agerter, and Ronald Smith.
Neil loved much and was much loved.
