Frances Baker Williams (“Teeny”) died early Friday morning, September 30, 2022, at her home with her children by her side.
Teeny was born on April 17, 1924, in Dyersburg, TN and was the daughter of the late Joe and Bessie Stone Baker. She moved to Bemis, TN with her husband, Dr. Allen Williams, in the mid-1950s, when he started his medical practice for the residents and mill workers there. They later moved to Jackson, TN, and her greatest joy was hosting Bible study in her home, which she did weekly for more than 30 years. She will always be remembered as a devoted prayer warrior who prayed for her family, friends, and others, by name, every single day. She was a member of Madison Baptist Church.
She will be dearly missed by many, including her children and their families: son, Allen Williams, III (Lee) of Palm Bay, FL, daughters, Amy Smith (Eden) of Jackson, TN, Nancy LaPlace (Robert Osswald) of Bartlett, TN, grandchildren, Rachel Burton, Joseph Williams, Allen Williams IV, Elinor Pack, Margaux LaPlace, Trent LaPlace, and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Joe Baker, and sister, Mary Sugg Baker.
