Funeral services for Leona Faye Wolfe, 89, will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 3, 2010 in the Chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Ken Bradford and Ray Hawk officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Wolfe died on Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.Faye was born in Alma, OK on March 21, 1921, the daughter of the late Rufus and Vessie Thomas Evans. She was married for 58 years to James A. Wolfe, Sr. who preceded her in death on December 8, 1998. She was a graduate of Pope High School as salutatorian of her class. She was a member of Campbell Street Church of Christ, serving as a Sunday school teacher for thirty-five years and was active in all areas of the church. She enjoyed people and tried to make them feel welcome. As her children were growing up, Faye was always interested in their activities and did her best to teach them Christian principles. She retired from Sears where she was employed for over twenty years in retail sales. She was an optimistic person who accepted all the changes that came in her life with grace and without complaint. She is survived by her two daughters, Eleanor Dinger and husband Bill of Hamilton, OH, Leona Teague and husband Doug of Jackson, TN and a son, David Wolfe and wife Rosalee of Franklin, TN; seven grandchildren, Sherry Dinger Kindt and husband Bill, Susan Dinger Bostrom, Andy Dinger, Todd Teague and wife Julie, Kim Teague, Nicole Wolfe Harris and husband Brad and Rebecca Wolfe and three great grandchildren, Jacqueline Bosco, Matthew Teague and Wolfe Harris.She was preceded in death by a son, James A. Wolfe, Jr on July 2, 1994 and a sister Lorena Barnett.Pallbearers to serve will be Doug Teague, Bill Dinger, Andy Dinger, Todd Teague, Roger Wilbanks, David McCrary, Gary Hall and John Tibbs.The family wishes to thank the employees and staff at Northbrooke Health Care Center for the loving care they have given to Faye for the last 4 1/2 years.The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 from 1:30 PM until the service time of 3:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
