Faye R. Foreman Hardin, 77, died Tuesday, April 2, 2019 after a brief illness. She was born in Humboldt, TN to James and Pearl Harris Foreman. After 51 years of service, she retired as a school teacher for Jackson Madison County Schools. Faye taught English at North Side High School and Madison Academic High School; was a Beta Club sponsor; and directed many high school plays. She taught honors classes as well as dual credit college courses.
She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and had served as a Sunday School teacher, church librarian, acting secretary, and church directory editor. Faye loved reading, traveling, her family, and her students whom she taught over the years. She also volunteered as a Chaplain assistant at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She is survived by one brother, Jesse Foreman (Wilmoth) of Columbia, TN; nephews Hugh Deaton (Tammie) and Vaughn Bell (Shelia) of Humboldt, TN; Penn Foreman, Jr (Susan) of Harvest, AL; Walt Foreman of Columbia, TN; Jerry Foreman (Lee) of Nashville, TN; Jim Foreman (Kathy) of Memphis, TN; nieces Mary Jane Rogers (Mike) of Warner Robins, GA; Cindy Choate (Ted) of Columbia, TN; Kathy Foreman of Tallahassee, FL; Ellen Foreman and Kate Foreman-Schweri (John) of Summertown, TN; step-daughters Brenda Stone (Doug) of Aberdeen, MS and Laura Beaver of Jackson, TN; four step-grandchildren; and close friends Cathy and Joe Turnbow.
SERVICES: The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. at Arrington Funeral Directors with Bro. Stacy McCollum officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The pallbearers to serve are Brandon Deaton, Brian Deaton, Chris Rogers, Adam Beaver, Jacob Trotter, and Benjamin Trotter.
