Everett S. Hunley, Jr. entered his heavenly home on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at his Franklin, TN residence surrounded by his loving wife and family at the age of 79.
He was born in Jackson, TN on April 7, 1944, the son of Elsie Mayfield Murren and the late Everett Sanders, Hunley, Sr. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a retired electrician with Tennessee Valley Authority and worked with area contractors after his retirement.
Everett was an avid table tennis player and at one time started a table tennis club in Jackson. To be closer to their family Everett and Lucinda moved from Jackson to Franklin, TN. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he enjoyed every minute he was able to be with them.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Lucinda Maxwell Hunley of Franklin, TN; two children, Shay Sanders and husband Michael of Franklin, TN, Chad Hunley and wife Emily of Knoxville, TN; his mother, Elsie Murren of Brownsville, TN; his sister, Joanne Parks of Brownsville, TN; five grandchildren, Caden Sanders, Corbin Sanders and Brody Sanders all of Franklin, TN and Blaine Hunley and Elin Hunley both of Knoxville.
SERVICES: A memorial visitation for Everett will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Arrington Funeral Directors and continuing until 2:00 p.m.
