Einar Holt, 90, died on Friday, January 10, 2014 at the Northbrooke Healthcare of Jackson.
A native of Uxbridge, MA and was born on September 21, 1923, the son of the late Emil and Marie Christina Mickelson Holt. He served in the United States Army during WWII and was awarded a purple heart. He was employed with the Milan Arsenal as a supervisor for many years. He was a dedicated member of Concordia Lutheran Church of Jackson where he served as an honorary elder. Mr. Holt faithfully volunteered his time with a community hospice before his health declined.
He is survived by his wife Mary Jane Holt of Jackson, TN; a nephew, Roger Nyquist (Bebe) of Clifton Park, NY and many long-time friends. His children Martin Lee Holt and Maria Holt Ledbetter and his siblings Carl, George, Alfred, Arthur and Ruth predeceased him.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Concordia Lutheran Church with Pastor Gregory Truwe officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Rutherford, TN City Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors and on Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Concordia Lutheran Church prior to the service.
