Edward H. Everett entered his heavenly home on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital at the age of 85.
He was born in Jackson, TN on July 4, 1937, the son of the late Nicholas H. and Virginia Alabama Corley Everett. Edward proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as an instrument repairman. After his time with the Air Force, he was employed with Scott Paper Co. in Mobile, AL for seven years and Proctor and Gamble Manufacturing of Jackson, TN for twenty-three years.
He and his wife are members of West Jackson Baptist Church attending the Legacy Sunday School class and assisted with the Wednesday night meal. He also was a video camera operator at the church for ten years.
Edward is survived by his wife of sixty years, Frances “Fran” Everett of Jackson, TN; a son, Steven Everett and wife Kim of Houston, TX; a daughter, Karen Everett DePriest of Jackson, TN; four grandchildren, Abigail Everett, Elijah Everett, Kamryn DePriest and Addyson DePriest; and a sister, Esther Crawford and husband Pat of Atlanta, GA.
He was predeceased by a brother and a sister.
SERVICES: A funeral service for Edward will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Rev. Lonnie Sanders of West Jackson Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery with Military Honors.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 25, 2023, beginning at 11:00 a.m. and continuing until the service at 1:00 p.m.
