Dwayne H. Horn, 90, died Tuesday evening June 10, 2014 at Jackson – Madison County General Hospital.
He was born August 29, 1923 in Buena Vista, Tennessee the son of the late Thomas Buford Horn and Susie Butler Horn. Mr. Horn served in the Army during World War II, he was a 50 year Mason and retired from the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Horn, one son Ron Horn and wife Gail of Beech Bluff, TN, one daughter Brenda Murphy and husband Rookie of Jackson, TN, two sisters, Ivogene Pinson and husband Maurice of Huntingdon, TN, Sara Hardin of Jackson, TN, five grandchildren, Michelle Klein, Bryan Murphy, Jordan Horn, Dean McMurray, Jake McMurray, two great grandchildren, Parker Klein and Elliott Klein. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, two brothers and a sister.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be directed to Alzheimer’s Association, 713 South Mendenhall, Memphis, TN, 38117.
SERVICES: Funeral services will be held Friday, June 13, 2014 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Dr. Don Thrasher officiating. Burial will follow In Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends Friday from 1:00PM until service time at 3:00PM.
