Dorothy Simpson Mccommon

Dorothy Simpson McCommon received her heavenly reward on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Maplewood Healthcare and Rehab.
A native of Haywood County, TN, she was born on February 11, 1931, the daughter of the late Roy Earl and Zelma Williams Simpson. She was married to John B. McCommon, Sr., who preceded her in death in 2016. She was a Social Worker for several years in Houston County, TN, and supported her husband in his ministry throughout their marriage. She retired after serving many years as the student tutor/coordinator with the Center for Adult Reading and Enrichment.
She is survived by her son, John B. McCommon and his wife Brenda, and their children, Alex, Nick, and Kate.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2022, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Saulsbury, TN, at West Memorial Cemetery with a committal service at 2:00 p.m.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until services on Friday at the funeral home.
