The celebration of life services and visitation for Donna Marie Johnson Winbush, 68, will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 pm Saturday, July 25, 2015 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with the interment to follow at Maple Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Reverend Jerry Smith officiating.
Ms. Winbush was born in Jackson on November 12, 1946 and passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at her home after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents Claude S. Johnson, Sr. and Dorothy A. Presley Johnson and a brother John H. "Johnny" Johnson. She was the Salutatorian of the 1964 graduating class of Beech Bluff High School and attended West Tennessee Business College. She was a dedicated employee of City Lumber Company for 35 years, where she was known as "Mama Donna" or "Rotor Rooter". She was a thirty year member of Maple Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she had been active with the CPWM, had served as Sunday school teacher for toddlers and later adults and was ordained as an Elder on November 9, 1999.
She is survived by one daughter , Andrea Stansell and husband Bobby; one son, Randy Winbush Jr. and wife Allyson; a sister DiAnn Morris and husband Jerry; a brother Claude S. "Junior" Johnson , Jr. and wife Daphne and two grandchildren, Jackson and Luke Winbush; one step-grand daughter, Amber Stansell. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, her City Lumber Company family and many friends including one very dear friend, Sharon "Shari" Jones.
