Dicky Dewayne Dean, age 72, died on Monday, June 15, 2015 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital after a long illness.
Dicky was born on May 14, 1943 the son of the late Clifford and Inell Dean. He was a retired Mechanic with Quaker Oats of Jackson, TN. He loved to fish and work in his yard. He also enjoyed working with wood, making many items over the years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Betty Kelly Dean; three daughters, Donna Williams (John Mark), Debbie Click (Archie) and Tammy Surratt (Greg); a sister, Shelia Doyle; five grandchildren, Lauren Williams, Kayla Williams, Shay Miller, Sarah Click and Zack Surratt; two nieces, Tommye and Deana and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, June 19, 2015 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Dr. Rick Savage officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, prior to the service at Arrington Funeral Directors
Memorial contributions should be directed to the American Cancer Society, 2935 Highway 45 Bypass, Jackson, TN 38305 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 383105.
