Diana Lee Chumney, formerly known as Diana Sadler, was born on April 8, 1955, in Humboldt, Tennessee, and passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, at her home in Jackson, Tennessee. She was a devoted wife, and a loving mother.
Diana had a dedicated career in customer service within the retail industry, where she consistently went above and beyond to ensure each customer felt valued and appreciated. Her warm demeanor and willingness to help others made her an integral part of the places she worked.
Beyond her professional life, Diana found joy in her many hobbies and interests. She was an avid genealogy researcher, delighting in uncovering her family's history. Diana enjoyed camping adventures with her husband, where they shared countless memories under the stars. She was also passionate about various crafts, including crocheting, quilting, and baking, often sharing her culinary creations with friends and family. Her love for reading illuminated her life and expanded her horizons.
Diana's proudest accomplishments included building a loving family. She is survived by her husband, James E. "Eddie" Chumney; her daughter, Alicia J. Chumney; and her son, Edward Len Chumney. She is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Diana's legacy endures through them, as she instilled values of kindness, perseverance, and love in each of her children.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Richard Earl and Mary Josephine Collinsworth Sadler.
A memorial gathering to honor Diana's life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors. Family, friends, and those who admired Diana are invited to come together to celebrate her life.
