David Franklin Johnson was declared deceased on February 23, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, at the age of 71.
David was born on June 8, 1951 in Austin, TX, to the late Donald Franklin Johnson, Jr. and Barbara Jo Rupé Johnson. He was born again at Billy Graham Crusade UT Knoxville, his alma mater. He was Pentecostal in faith, with great respect for all Judeo-Christian faiths, and a Messianic Jew recognizing Jesus as the Promised Messiah. David was a microbiologist and chemist, working at the UT Medical Center and Quaker Oats. He was smart, hardworking, and faithful all his life, volunteering in local churches where he lived. The world is a darker place without him in it.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Beverly Jane Krämer Johnson; precious daughter, Angela Jane Johnson-Duncan; precious granddaughter, Audrey Angel Johnson; precious brother, James Douglas Johnson; precious sister, Sheila Catherine Johnson; precious great uncle, Bill Rupé; precious great aunt, Betty Barker; and several cousins, extended family, and friends.
