David W. Bowen, Jr., 64, died on May 11, 2014 at the Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN.
A native of Tupelo, MS, David was born on June 19, 1949, the son of David W. Bowen, Sr. and the late Margaret Forsythe Bowen Elkins. David was a member of West Jackson Baptist Church and retired from the Kilgore Company as Traffic Manager.
He is survived by his wife Kayrn Bowen and his son, Jeff Bowen both of Humboldt, TN; his father and step mother, David and Joan Bowen of Tupelo, MS and his step father, H.N. “Hot” Elkins of Jackson, TN.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Elkins and his brother, Mike Elkins.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 16, 2014 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors.
