Clois Norman Alexander Funeral services for Clois Norman Alexander will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 2:30 P.M. at Arrington Funeral Directors, Jackson, Tennessee. The family will receive friends at Arrington Funeral Directors beginning at 12:30 P.M.. Interment will be at Hickory Flatt Methodist Church, Cedar Grove, Tennessee. Mr. Clois Norman Alexander, age 91, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2009. Mr. Alexander was born in Madison County, Tennessee on May 16, 1918, the son of the late Charlie Norman and Sattie Duke Alexander. Mr. Alexander was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Jackson, Tennessee and of the AGOGA Sunday School Class. He retired while living in Perry, Florida where he worked for Proctor and Gamble Buckeye. Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Opal McAlexander Alexander on October 27, 2005, a sister, LaVerne Alexander Mills and his parents.Survivors include his sister, Ozell Alexander Towater of Milan, Tennessee, brother David Lamar Alexander of St. Peters, Missouri, children Brenda Odom (Harry) of Rome, Georgia, Judy Freeman (James) of Montgomery, Texas, Rhonda Alexander of Mooresville, North Carolina and Floyd Alexander (Misha) of Birmingham, Alabama, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.
