Claude Lee Fullerton
Claude Lee Fullerton, age 86, passed away gently, surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Jackson, on Thursday, July 11, 2013 after a short illness.
He was born on May 27, 1927 in Portageville, Missouri to the late Clyde and Myrtie Fullerton. He is preceded in death by a brother, Martin Fullerton of Jackson; a son-in-law, Wendell Hill; a daughter-in-law, Rita Fullerton of Jackson and daughter-in-law, Pam Miller. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 64 years, Gearline Rollins Fullerton of Jackson; one son, David Fullerton of Jackson, TN; three daughters, Sandra Britt (Elmer) and Wanda Kidd (Jack) both of Jackson and Mary Beth Logan (Kate) of Lincoln, NE; nine grandchildren, Lelah Hill, Patricia Hill, Teresa Brown (Robert), John Fullerton (Brandy), James Fullerton (Cluria), Jeremiah Keen (Amy), Rebecca Keen, Amanda Harkins (Aaron and Lesleigh Taylor; 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He also leaves behind his sister, Ruby Britt of Beech Bluff.
Mr. Fullerton was retired from American Olean Tile in Jackson. He was a long time member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Beech Bluff. He was a loving, compassionate, caring and devoted father, husband and grandfather who will be truly missed by all. The family would like to send a heartfelt thanks to Asera Care Hospice for all their loving support and kindness.
SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2013 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Gene Rollins officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM and on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 12:00 PM until the service time at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers serving will be grandsons John Fullerton, James Fullerton, Jeremiah Keen, Brandon Fullerton, Robert Brown and Aaron Harkins.
