Clarence Richard "Ricky" King, known for his dedicated career and love for billiards, passed away on December 9, 2023, in Jackson, Tennessee.
He was born on July 31, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of the late Charles and Carrie Yaden King.
Ricky's professional life was marked by a thirty-year tenure at Turner Dairies. His commitment and hard work served as an inspiration to colleagues.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ricky's life was defined by his service to his country. He proudly served in both the United States Army and the United States Navy. His bravery and sacrifice exemplify the highest ideals of patriotism.
Outside of work and military service, Ricky immersed himself in the sport of billiards. He possessed extraordinary talent and unwavering passion for the game. His skills were matched only by his sportsmanship and friendly nature. Ricky consistently showcased his prowess on the billiards table, earning him numerous trophies throughout the years. His love for billiards brought joy to both himself and those fortunate enough to witness his remarkable talent.
Ricky's memory will be cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He leaves behind his loving sisters, Janet Vance and Vicki Beatty, whom he shared a special bond with throughout their lives. Their support meant the world to Ricky, and their memories together will remain precious.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, David King, Dennis King and Jerry King and a sister, Darla Harrah.
A graveside service will be held to honor Ricky's life at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023, at West Tennessee Veteran Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads. Friends, family, and all those whose lives were touched by Ricky are encouraged to attend and pay their final respects.
The family is requesting that memorial contributions be directed to the Jackson Animal Care Center, 23 Pinnacle Dr., Jackson, TN 38305.
