Clara Elizabeth Roberts

Clara Elizabeth “Beth” Roberts, died Sunday, March 7, 2021 in Jackson, TN. She was born September 3, 1937, and was the daughter of C.M. and Ruby Phelps Davis of Jennings, LA. She married the “love of her life,” Bruce Roberts, June 16, 1958 and they were married for 62 years. Beth was devoted to Bruce and her children and was known for her loving and caring gestures to others. As a Registered Nurse, she worked primarily with newborns at Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA. She loved square dancing, painting, needlework, sewing, and most importantly, she loved taking care of children. In Baton Rouge, she was a member of Stevendale Baptist Church. In Jackson, she was a member of Englewood Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Karl Roberts of Milan, TN; one daughter, Deanna (Matt) Lunsford of Jackson, TN; and three grandchildren – Cara (Brennan) Kolbe of Chicago, IL; Thomas Lunsford and Emma Lunsford of Jackson, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Roberts; her parents; her sister, Ellen Primeaux; and three children, Laurie Roberts, Richard Roberts and Ray Roberts.

SERVICES: Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 with a service to follow at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings, LA with Laraine Waughtal officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings, LA.
