Christopher Lee Shelton
Christopher Lee Shelton entered his eternal home on July 2, 2022 at the age of 41.
He was born on November 3, 1980, the son of Robert Moody and Rachel Shelton in Lexington, TN. Chris served his country in the United States Army and the Tennessee Army National Guard with tours in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He was a Staff Sergeant (SSG) E-6 Rank. Those who worked under his command said he was someone they all admired and looked up to. He also received various awards throughtout his service. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior on August 22, 1993 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church near Cedar Grove, TN and currently attended Munford Baptist Church. Being with his family brought him the most joy. He enjoyed traveling to the beach with his wife and kids, watching movies, wood working and anything to do with computers. He was employed with Krueger as a Controls Engineer.
Chris is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Courtney Stratton Shelton; his children, Christopher Coley, Joshua Coley, Ryan Coley, Michael Shelton, Summer Shelton Weston Alexander Shelton, and Hadley Grace Shelton; two brothers, Joshua McGill and Bradley Hayes; and sister, Jennifer Mowell.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rachel Shelton.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 12:00PM Thursday, July 14, 2022, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. He will be laid to rest at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads with Military Honors at 1:30PM.
Visitation will be held 10:00AM to 12:00PM prior to service.
