Chris V. McConnell

Christopher "Chris" Van Patrick McConnell departed this life on September 9, 2024, in Jackson, TN, leaving behind a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and a passion for life that touched many. He was one of two children born on April 16, 1971, in Fort Wayne, IN to Van McConnell and Diana Reed McConnell. 

 For many years, Chris dedicated his career to Customer Service at Coram Healthcare. His genuine kindness and unwavering support were hallmarks of his work ethic, earning him the respect and affection of those fortunate enough to know him in a professional setting.

 Outside of work, Chris was known for his joyful exuberance, often found with a microphone in hand, singing karaoke across the MidSouth with an infectious enthusiasm that could brighten even the gloomiest day. His love for music was only rivaled by his passion for film. He was always ready with a review of the latest movies.

 In addition to his zest for karaoke and cinema, Chris’s entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly through his proudest accomplishment, the creation of "Fudge Outside the Box." This small business was a true reflection of his creativity and dedication, offering delectable treats to the community through local businesses and at the Farmer's Market. Chris poured his heart into every batch, deriving immense joy from the smiles his fudge brought to others.

 Left to cherish his memory is his loving father, Van McConnell; dedicated sister, Vanessa Adams (Tom); and adored niece, Layla Adams. 

 He was preceded in death by his dear mother, Diana Reed McConnell. 

 Chris leaves behind a rich legacy of warmth and kinship, felt deeply by friends and those whose lives were touched by his kindness. While his physical presence may have departed, the echoes of his laughter and the memories created will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
