Charles "Eddie" Johnson, a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his residence on March 28, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on December 4, 1952, in Jackson, Tennessee, Eddie lived a life characterized by warm humor, simple pleasures, and a spirit of giving.
Eddie dedicated a significant portion of his life to the Johnson Sawmill, where his strong work ethic and commitment to quality earned him the respect and admiration of many in the community. Beyond his professional achievements, he was known for his deep love for his family, particularly his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. Affectionately known as "Pop," He demonstrated unconditional love, guidance, and kindness to his grandchildren, nurturing their growth and cherishing every moment spent together.
A veteran of the United States Army and Army Reserves, Eddie honored his country with his service. His life was filled with passions that reflected his appreciation for the great outdoors; he was an avid owner of coon dogs and draft horses, hobbies that further showcased his connection to the land and nature.
Eddie is survived by his dedicated wife, Judy Struder Johnson, of Beech Bluff, TN, his step-son, Steven D. Webb, of Medon, TN, as well as his brothers Robert Leon Johnson, Jr. and Joe Donald Johnson (Jeanne Marie), both of Jackson, TN, Linda Diane Stansel (Harold Lee), Beech Bluff, TN, Viola Janette Johnson, Jackson, Tn, grandchildren Jillian Cain (Ethan), Austin Webb, great grandchildren Brooke Cain and Heath Cain. The warmth he brought to all who knew him will forever be remembered and cherished.
In celebrating the life of Eddie Johnson, we honor a man whose generosity of spirit and love for family will leave an enduring legacy.
SERVICES: Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 1:00Pm at East Laurel Cemetery.
