Carol Jane Valdivia

January 10, 1938 — March 21, 2022

Carol Jane Valdivia, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend departed from this life and joined her Heavenly home on Monday, March 21, 2022, in the company of her adoring family.

Born the daughter of the late John and Lois (Bloden) Amione, on Monday, January 10, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Julio Remijio Valdivia, son, Michael Valdivia, son-in-law, Doug Hall, Grandson, Aaron Joseph Nunes, granddaughter, Courtlyn Jones and brother, Curtis Neitzke.

A very enthusiastic lady with a great love for many things, Carol was a graduate of College of Saint Frances where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree. The knowledge she gained within the nursing program coupled with her inspirational spirit led her to help others and spread the love of Jesus. She was crowned Queen of Bethel 13 Job’s Daughters in Chicago, Illinois, volunteered at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital for many years, went to China on a missionary trip and was able to work with her son, Dr. Remy Valdivia for 12 years after she retired. Carol had a fierce obedience which led her to follow God’s Will without exception.
The most important contribution Carol felt she had was sharing the love of Jesus with all who would listen. She started being the hands and feet of Jesus within her home. She adored her family and had every intention of them having a loving relationship with their Lord and Savior.

Carol found great joy while listening to music and dancing, road trips, and harassing “the KING” … her son-in-law, Pearce. She loved to cook and will especially be remembered for her love for a fried egg sandwich.

Carol married the love of her life, Julio Remijio Valdivia, and they shared a beautiful life together until his death in November 1967. Together Carol and Julio had 3 sons and 2 daughters.

She will be tremendously missed and never forgotten by sons, Dr. Remy Antonio Valdivia and wife, Tammy of Medina, TN, and Danny Gerard Valdivia and wife, Theresa of Rockvale, TN; daughters, Carol J. Hall of Medina, TN, and Sherry Lyn Jones and husband Pearce of Medina, TN; sister, Jane Gildenzoph and husband, Abe of Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Carolyn Neitzke of Illinois; grandchildren, Jaimie Knipper and husband, Josh, Arianna J. Stovall and husband, John, Ryan P. Jones, Alexandria J. Valdivia, Annelyse Valdivia, Micah Valdivia, Tatiana Gilbert and husband, Jimmy, Nicholas P.
