Carmen McCalmon of Jackson, Tennessee died November 8, 2016. Carmen Lane Sirls was born on April 26, 1964. She graduated from Peabody High School in Trenton in 1982 and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1987.
Carmen worked as an Accountant at various companies primarily in construction accounting. She has worked as Office Manager at Garrett Plumbing and Heating for the past thirteen years.
Carmen was a member of West Jackson Baptist Church. She touched many lives with her compassion, her generosity, her courage, and her passion for life.
She loved cooking, football, horses, her friends, her coworkers, and above all, her family.
Carmen was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Lee Sirls, her father, Clarence Edward Sirls, and sister, Karen Denise Sirls.
She is survived by her husband of twenty years, Thomas Lee McCalmon III. Also, she leaves two daughters, Abby McCalmon of Jackson TN and Maggie McCalmon of Jackson MS, her sister, Lissa Mullins (husband, Terry) of Jackson TN, her mother-in-law, Phyllis Bohannon, sister-in-laws, Shelley Glenn (husband, Don) and Karen Roberts (husband, Billy) of Baldwyn, MS. Carmen is loved by her many nieces and nephews.
SERVICE: A funeral service for Mrs. McCalmon will be conducted at Arrington Funeral Directors on Saturday, November 12th at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Baldwyn Masonic Cemetery in Baldwyn, MS with a committal service to be held at 3:00 PM.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, November 11 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors
