Bonnie L. Cooper, age 78, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was born in Decatur County, TN on February 15, 1944, the daughter of the late Bill and Elzona Evans Pettigrew. She was married to Harold Cooper for thirty-two wonderful years before his death in 2018. Bonnie was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church of Jackson and a faithful employee of Dawn’s Uniforms for over thirty years.
Bonnie was an avid seamstress for many years. She enjoyed treating her family with homemade gifts, spoiling all her family with homemade pecan tarts on the holidays.
Bonnie and Harold had four children, Jennifer (Anthony) Tomlin, Cindy Outlaw, Tim (Traci) Cooper, and Julia (Hugh) Dickerson; grandchildren, Doug (Amy) McDaniel, Blake Renfroe, Jodi (Shawn) Pevahouse, Kristin (Chris) Rose, Landon (Kayla) Cooper, Aly Cooper (Jesse Russell), Whitney (Jeremy) Smith and Andrew Nichols, nine great-grandchildren and her brother Ottis (Brenda) Pettigrew.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Outlaw, a sister Sue Blankenship, and a brother Dewey Pettigrew.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2022, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Gary Snuffin of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at Arrington Funeral Directors.
