Bobby A. Kinard, age 92, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.
Bobby was born in Louisville, MS on January 15, 1927, the son of the late Thad Nathaniel and Laura Brooks Kinard. He served his county in the United States Army serving in Japan and was a retired Lineman with TVA. After retirement he worked with his son in his business Kinard Tree Service for the past fifteen years. He was an avid gardener including his Fig trees and enjoyed his yard work around the house. He was a thirty-year member of North Jackson Baptist Church, where he formerly oversaw House and Grounds.
He is survived by his wife, Mable Dodd Kinard of Jackson, TN; daughters, Beverly Cole of Jackson, TN and Laurie Barham and husband Mike of Hermitage, TN; a son, Kenny Kinard and his wife BJ of Jackson, TN; eight grandchildren, Kindra Shenoy, Shanna Honsby, Blair Cole, Shaun West, Cody Kinard, Adam Barham, Amber Fox and Abby Segraves and ten great-grandchildren.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 14, 2019 at North Jackson Baptist Church, with Rev. Randy Latch officiating. The family will be receiving friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the church.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Kinard, Shaun West, Adam Barham, Billy Greene, Chris Dotson and Greg Grooms.
He was a blessing to many by the manner in which he lived a Christian life and was a “Champion of a Dad” to all of his family.
