Bobby Carl Creasy, age 80 and a beloved member of the community died Friday, August 11, 2023, at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt, TN. Born on Friday, September 12, 1942, in Lexington, TN, he was the son of C.B and Velma Creasy. Bobby was known for his vibrant personality and his zest for life. He will be remembered as a fun-loving and happy individual who brought joy to those around him.
Bobby dedicated over two decades of his life proudly serving in the United States Army. His commitment and dedication were evident in his impressive military career, where he achieved the esteemed rank of Rifle Expert (sharpshooter). Bobby's service to his country was an integral part of his identity, and he carried the principles instilled in him during his time in the military throughout his life.
Bobby started his career working in the family business, Creasy’s Honda and Creasy’s Radiator & Small Engine in Lexington TN, and later became owner of Creasy’s Radiator. After retiring from Lowe's, he enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was an avid outdoorsman who found solace in nature. Whether it was fishing or deer hunting, Bobby cherished these moments spent surrounded by the beauty of the great outdoors.
In addition to his love for nature, Bobby had a passion for thrilling activities. He loved the adrenaline rush that came with racing motorcycles and go-karts. Engaging in these activities brought out his adventurous spirit and added excitement to his life.
Those left to forever remember Bobby are his loving wife, Darlene Creasy, who stood by Bobby's side through thick and thin. Their marriage was a testament to their unwavering commitment to each other.
He also leaves his son, Bobby Dewayne Creasy (Traci) of Humboldt, TN, daughters, Janna Trevisan (Scott) of DeLeon Springs, FL, and Heather Castleman (Alan) of Jackson, TN; grandchildren, Ashley Smith (Matt), Lauren Adams (Ryan), Colton Creasy (Rebecca), Callie Potts (Ryne), Paige Potts (Tommy), and Zoe Castleman, and great-grandchildren, Kyler and Korie Smith, Ryleigh and Jacob Adams, Willow and Ledger Potts, Nora Creasy, and Harper Potts.
His love for them knew no bounds, and he took great pride in watching them grow into exceptional individuals. He shared a special relationship with his brother, Jimmy Glenn Creasy (Peggy), and his sister, Nancy Greenway.
SERVICE: Friends and family will gather to honor and remember Bobby on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Arrington Funeral Directors. Visitation will start at 12:00 PM, followed by his Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. It is here that we will come together to celebrate a life well-lived, share stories of laughter and love, and find solace in each other's company. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
Bobby Creasy has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. His vibrant spirit, dedication to his country, and love for his family will live on as cherished memories. Though he may be physically gone from our lives, his memory and legacy will continue to inspire us in our own journeys.
