Billy N. Dyer, age 79, died on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the Maplewood Healthcare of Jackson.
A native of Lexington, TN, Billy was born on June 2, 1939 the son of the late Arlie and Anna Mitchell Dyer. He was married to Janice Dyer who preceded him in death on June 20, 2013. He was a self-employed salesman as a Packaging Consultant. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. He was a former member of Crievewood United Methodist Church in Nashville and later attended Northside United Methodist until his health declined.
He is survived by his children, Jeff Dyer and wife Angie of Jackson, TN and Karen Dyer of Nashville, TN; a brother, Bobby W. Dyer and wife Gail of Lexington, TN; five grandchildren, Chandler Dyer, Cassandra Jernigan and husband Michael, Noah Dyer, Grace Dyer and James Dyer and three great-Grandchildren.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Crievewood United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to the service.
The family is requesting memorial donations be directed to the American Cancer Society, 2935 Hwy. 45 Bypass, Jackson, TN 38305 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 478 Craighead Street, Suite 200, Nashville, TN 37204.
