Bill Rosson, age 73, entered his heavenly home on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from his residence. Born on August 29, 1949, in Huntingdon, TN, he was the son of Joye Vines Rosson and the late Howard Rosson.
With a sales career with building products, he was most recently employed by JMS Roofing and Exteriors. Bill had a huge network of building contractors and customers with whom he shared his faith on many occasions. To know Bill was to know Christ’s love through him.
It was at church when he met the love of his life, Teresa Futrell, and they had been married for 33 years. A loving husband, father, and friend to many, Bill had a heart for serving others. He was the epitome of a Southern gentleman. There was no gray area in his morals - - he knew his Bible truths and stood by them on any issue.
A Bible scholar who loved the Lord with all his heart, teaching the Bible was truly Bill’s passion. He taught adult Bible Study for over 40 years and was currently teaching an Adult Sunday School class at Englewood Baptist Church, where he and Teresa are members. A devoted UT Vol fan, Bill’s blood definitely ran Orange!
Those who will forever cherish his memory are his wife, Teresa Futrell Rosson, of Jackson, TN; their daughter, Lynsie Hughes, of Jackson, TN; grandchildren, who were the joy of his life, 8-year-old Hazel and 5-year-old George; his mother, Joye Rosson, now residing in Franklin, TN; sister, Diane Rosson Browner, of Nashville, TN; brothers-in-law Ricky Futrell of Humboldt, TN and Chuck Futrell, of Jackson, TN; nieces, Hannah Futrell, Chrissy Vandiver, Abby Futrell Leslie (Austin), Amber Futrell Moore (Carson), Leslie Browner, and nephew Will Futrell (Kelly).
Pallbearers will be Charles Emrich, Bill Liles, Gage Vandiver, Carson Moore, Tommy Barden, and Joe White.
