Barbara Ann Arnold, age 78, died on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born in Sheffield, AL on August 4, 1942, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Alta Smith Osborn. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Jerry Arnold. Barbara worked in banking earlier in her career, later becoming a homemaker caring for her family. Being a mother and grandmother was very precious to her and brought her immense joy. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, antiquing, and serving the Lord by being involved at her church. She taught children’s classes for many years and has been a regular part of the Ladies Bible Class at Campbell Street Church of Christ, where she was a member.
She is survived by her son and his family, Dr. Scott O. Guthrie, wife Shannon and their children, Emma, Grace and Jackson Guthrie of Jackson, TN.
SERVICES: A graveside service for Barbara will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Ridgecrest Cemetery, with Ray Hawk, minister officiating.
The family is requesting that In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to Jackson Christian, 832 County Club Lane, Jackson, TN 38305.
