Andrea Patrick McCadams

Andrea McCadams, 74, of Jackson, Tennessee, passed away January 17, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born January 14, 1951, she was the beloved daughter of John and Louise Patrick and sister to Robert Patrick and Janice Clifford, all of whom preceded her in death.

Andrea married the love of her life, John, in 1972, and they shared 52 wonderful years together. 

She is survived by her husband, John McCadams, children, Amanda McCadams, John McCadams, and Laurel Childs, and her grandchildren, Zoe McCadams, Sophia McCadams, and Cooper Childs. She is also survived by her nieces, Amy Clifford and Angie Britt; nephews, Randy Patrick, Brian Clifford, and William Clifford; and several beloved cousins.

A faithful and active member of North Jackson Church of Christ for over 45 years, Andrea lived her faith in action. She was deeply involved in foreign mission work and generously volunteered her time and energy to the church. Her kindness, warmth, and commitment to serving others were hallmarks of her character.

Andrea attended Chester County High School and pursued higher education at the University of Tennessee at Martin and Memphis State University. She dedicated her professional life to guiding and supporting others, serving as a high school teacher of psychology and sociology and later as a school psychologist. After retiring, Andrea found great joy spending her days on the Tennessee River with John.

Andrea will be remembered for her sharp wit, her incredible storytelling, and her steel-trap memory. She could light up a room with her humor and always had a great story to share. She was the kind of person everyone loved to be around—a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend who left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Her family and friends will celebrate her life and the countless ways she enriched the lives of those around her at North Jackson Church of Christ on Wednesday, January 22. Visitation will be 10:00-1:00 and services will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Jackson Church of Christ Missions Fund.
