Aaron B. Robinson, Jr. of Jackson, TN died October 24, 2015. He was born in Jackson on December 11, 1938, to Aaron B Robinson, Sr. and Agnes Branch Robinson. Aaron attended Jackson City Schools and was a graduate of Jackson High School, Class of 1956, and Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. His extraordinary musical talent at the piano was made evident at a very young age. Aaron studied and played professionally for many years, including residence in New York, studying with Vladimir Horowitz. He also served as an executive of the Robinson family's business, the Dixie Network, the precursor of today's WBBJ-TV and WDXI radio. At the time of his death, he was pianist and organist at East Trinity United Methodist Church in Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Carol Robinson Moore. He leaves behind three nieces, Beth Brown of San Francisco, California; Robin Brown of Nashville, Tennessee, and Eve Tolbert of Saint Ignatius, Montana, and their families. He also leaves behind an aunt, Doris Branch Freeman of Jackson and cousins Pat Little, Cindie Haney, Jim Freeman, and Connie Freeman Prince and their families. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 29th with memorial service to follow at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Foundation for a Smoke-free America, East Trinity United Methodist Church, or a charity of your choice.
